Parkinson’s UK launch ‘Patient and Public Involvement: Resource for Researchers’ today

Parkinson’s UK have today officially launched a ‘Patient and Public Involvement: Resource for Researchers’ as part of an on-going project to increase the support they provide for researchers to effectively involve the perspective of people affected by Parkinson’s in research.

The charity believes that involving the perspective of people affected by Parkinson’s produces higher quality, more relevant research, and ensures that the benefits are felt by the people who need it most.

The resource covers:

  • what is Patient and Public Involvement?
  • methods of involvement, in both clinical and basic research
  • how Parkinson’s UK can support involvement in research
  • case study examples
  • ensuring PPI is meaningful

Download the resource from www.parkinsons.org.uk/researchinvolvement and contact rsn@parkinsons.org.uk to find out more about how you can get involved with Parkinson’s research.
