‘Flower Power’ was an event staged at the ThinkTank, and organised by researchers from the School of Biosciences. A wide selection of fun and informative demonstrations, including live strawberry DNA extractions and microscopy of growing pollen tubes, helped to guide guests through the exciting world of plant reproduction; exploring how research into plants could result in better strategies for plant breeding and play a role in mitigating the global food security crisis.
