Being Human: A Festival of the Humanities – Nov 12 – 22,  2015

Being Human: 12 – 22 November 2015

The School of Advanced Study, in partnership with the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the British Academy, is delighted to announce and invite participation in the second Being Human festival of the humanities.

In 2014, Being Human featured 162 events organised by over 100 universities and cultural organisations across the country. In 2015, it is proud to return between 12-22 November for 10 days of big questions, big debates and engaging activities for all ages.

The core aim of the Being Human festival is to make research in the humanities accessible and engaging to non-academic audiences, and to demonstrate the role of the humanities in the cultural, intellectual, political and social life of the UK. Read our full call for participation to find out how to get involved [PDF] and apply online.

The deadline for applications is 5pm Friday 17th April, 2015.
