EPS PER Forum

The place to find out about all things public engagement happening in Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS) and beyond! BOOK YOUR PLACE HERE

Whether you’re already involved in brilliant projects, activities and initiatives to engage members of the public with your research and want to take your engagement to the next level, want to figure out how to get started, need to know what support is available or just want to chat through some ideas and get feedback from your peers, the EPS PER Forum is for you.

Each quarterly meeting will include inspiring short presentations from others who have been busy engaging the public as well as opportunities to start group discussions (perhaps you’ve been having trouble turning your idea into reality or just want to initiate a discussion around a research engagement theme), plus there will be a short update from the central Public Engagement Team about opportunities, resources, upcoming events and more. And to top it off, there will be opportunity to chat and network over (FREE!!) nibbles and cakes.

Each speaker will spend 10 minutes talking about public engagement projects or activities they are involved with and/or upcoming opportunities. Some may also be there to get feedback or suggestions on their ideas.

Speakers confirmed so far:

Dr Naomi Green – speaking about her experience in being awarded an £28,000 Ingenious Grant for public engagement.

Dr Ilija Rasovic – speaking about his work with Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences students to design and deliver an EPS-linked activity for Arts and Science Festival.
