NIHR launches award for research engagement

There will be two cash prizes of £400 and £100 for the most research aware and the most active Patient Participation Groups.

Simon Denegri, the NIHR’s national director for public participation and engagement, said: “I’m delighted to launch this new award to recognise the achievements that patient groups are making in primary care across the country. It’s a great opportunity for patient groups to illustrate how they are working and to promote best practice.”

The award was first announced at the National Association for Patient Participation’s annual conference on 7 June. It is now open to applications, with a deadline for entries of 12 September – See more
