This is awarded for an essay on a topic of the authors choice, which may be journalistic, a case study, wide-ranging or minutely focused.
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
The winner will receive £1,000 and an e-publication with Bodley Head, while two runners up will receive £500 each and also an e-publication with Bodley Head.
